Coalition for Improving Maternity Services - Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative

The Coalition for Improving Maternity Services (CIMS) is a coalition of individuals and national organizations with concern for the care and well-being of mothers, babies, and families. Our mission is to promote a wellness model of maternity care that will improve birth outcomes and substantially reduce costs. This evidence-based mother-, baby-, and family-friendly model focuses on prevention and wellness as the alternatives to high-cost screening, diagnosis, and treatment programs.

World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA)

The World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) is a global network of individuals and organisations concerned with the protection, support and promotion of breastfeeding. WABA action is based on the Innocenti Declaration, the Ten Links for Nurturing the Future and the Global Strategy for Infant & Young Child Feeding.

The UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative provides a framework for the implementation of best practice by NHS Trusts and other health care facilities, with the aim of ensuring that all parents are helped to make informed decisions about feeding their babies and that they are then supported in their chosen feeding method.

Baby Milk Action

Baby Milk Action is a non-profit organisation which aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding. The International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN)

IBFAN consists of public interest groups working around the world to reduce infant and young child morbidity and mortality.
IBFAN aims to improve the health and well being of babies and young children, their mothers and their families through the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding and optimal infant feeding practices.
